1970s (maybe 80s) Dominican Army Machete & sheath

Hear my prized possession… she’s fought old used & worn but I wouldn’t want it any other way… the sheath is a US army camouflage EDRL (camo used by Dominican armed forces in starting in 1971 till the 80s) known as “leaf” camo… can’t find any marking on it, but I know they were lightly stamped on the top of the blade & tended to wear off after heavy usage… I have to assume it’s Promedoca brand so this would be an early example (I think the company started in 1969) but due to its wear I can’t find any marking confirming it’s a “first batch” machete…

Fun fact: in the Dominican Republic machetes have been an important tool for both civilian & military applications for centuries… they are “nickname” colíns after legitimus collins & co machetes…
