Importer or Manufacturer
I’m old and confused. I was watching a YouTube vid and a older fellow was saying Latama and a bunch of other knives with various markings were not who made them but the Importer/Exporter.. I might have misunderstood the point he was making but I’m wondering if this is true why is Coricama still making dental tool? Were they an exemption? Maybe you guys already hashed this over. I’m new to Italian stuff.

Re: Importer or Manufacturer
Italian stilettos were imported into the US. Importers could have their company name stamped on the imported knives. Latama was an importer, but they actually were involved in the production of some of the knives they imported.
Some importers simply bought knives from the makers and imported them here. Coricama was involved in supplying many of the US importers.

So you could have a Coricama knife that says Latama on it?

Just in case you were interested-
Latama= Latin American Import Export Company
Coricama= Coltellerie Riunite Caslino Maniago
Coricama wasn't a company so much as a cooperative of makers in Caslino and Maniago. Credit to Bill DeShivs for teaching me about Coricama.

Wait until you see who own the companies that made the parts that were sold to the supplier who supplies the company who owns the parent brand of the subsidy of the company that actually makes the car, which is sold under a differently owns subsidy of the parent of the brand whose logo is actually on your car...!

Ya have to wonder WHY? Remarkable to say the least? Next it will come out that all the parts were made in China,shipper to cities in Italy,assembled by various people,sent to importers location and stamped with Latama.
