Thought I had one in the bay yesterday, then it got too rich for my blood in the final 10 minutes.

Maybe someday.

It got too rich for me too, although I was the second highest bidder. I guess someone else wanted it more. If you see one of these on Ebay, you can bet I am bidding on it.

Bummer. That Robeson Barlow was too rich for me, too, & an older one just got away from me tonight!

The saw cut red bone one? I jumped off that train this evening as well. I’ve gotten some pretty good deals lately with the sketchy economy, but it seems people are still willing to get their wallets out for Robesons!

Got in this Barlow today. Thought I would give these Rosecraft Blades a chance and see if they matched all the chatter. I can honestly say, that they do. I was pleased to see that they have made some Barlow’s, got this one with jigged bone and one with smooth bone coming soon. Great centering, great run up and all steel construction with no brass and D2 steel for the blade. You just can’t beat the value for the price.

Yes it does Mark. Not exactly Moki tight but just as good as GEC.

Looks very fine. A new brand for me. Are they made here, Japan, or elsewhere?

This are made in China Garry. For a Chinese made knife, I think they are exceptional quality and better than some made here in the US.

Thanks Tim.

Here is the second one that I ordered. Smooth bone handles and a sheepsfoot blade. Very solid construction. Just as good as the first one.
Love that it has no brass on it. Nice centering and the run up is pretty nice too. Not so tight that you can barely see the break but as good as almost all the GEC knives I’ve gotten and way better than Case does. I can see why these are so popular.

Now there is a beautiful knife, Mark.
I don't recall seeing those on their site, but now that I have I know what my next purchase will be.
That bone is so smooth and colorful looking it reminds me of candy!
And that blade...!!!
Beautiful, simply beautiful!

Thanks Mark, it is a great knife. I am sorely tempted to carry this one. With only 57 dollars, how can I lose? Need to get some doubles and triples to have one for my collection and one for giving away and one to use and one for Mary to use.

Good looking knives SSK.
1972 Queen with some good saw cut bone. The action of these is fabulous, no wobble, smooth, tight, sweet movement, with perfect spring tension and feel. Nice click. Love these.
