I found a brand new copy of" Axe makers of North America" by Allen Klenman, 2nd edition revised by Larry mcPhail, who at 1 time had 3000 axes in his collection
Nice book of 160 paged covering38 U.S makers,23 Canadian and7 Swedish makers.Weed & Becker put out 100 dozen axes per day as well as 75 dozen other tools. In 1868 axes cost around 14 bucks a dozen! I recommend this book.
