I guess that I am a little weird, as I enjoy sharpening my knives! I find a zen-like peace in the process.
I do own a few utility knives, but I personally do not EDC them. I do keep them handy at home for certain jobs that can be damaging to a pocket knife, as you described in your video.

I agree with Reverend. Sharpening a pocket knife is enjoyable. I am
not a factory worker nor do I routinely cut cardboard. A 3-4 inch
pocket knife as a EDC is for me. Taking out a small pocket knife
is probably less threatening looking per public than a utility knife
also.
