Thanks Dog, I don't brag about prices but it was well worth what I paid. I have a nice collection of Dog Heads so that one will be a nice addition. O'.

I found a Weekender over $50 cheaper than anyone else, so I had to.

I passed. In years of getting lottery tickets I never even won back the cost of a ticket. If it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.

It's a deal IF the winner takes the CASH option. I'm too dadgummed old to choose the annuity and the deal is only for the Grand Prize. ::handshake::

BTW there wasn't a winner so the jackpot is now $1,040,000,000. $520 Million is a hair of a lot of money.

If I won that much money, my wife would have a heart attack, I'd likely die from anxiety trying to figure out what to do with it, and my family and relatives would likely end up battling it out, or the money would ruin their lives in some other way. I think I'd say no thank you and go back to work. Or maybe buy a nice set of mint Remington Bullets.____Dave

If you win any large sum of money, you keep your tater trap shut tight and ya don't tell a soul. People (especially relatives) seem to have the idea that you should share and they have a God given right to a share in your good fortune.

I would be like the old farmer who won the lottery. When a news reporter asked him what he was going to do with the money, the farmer replied, "I guess I will just keep farming until it's all gone."

I suppose a birthday knife will fit in the "KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY" thread.
Our youngest grandson handed me a small, wrapped box yesterday at dinner time. His dad asked me if I was still doing any whittling? Now and then was my answer. Feeling the box and knowing it was a knife, I imagined it to be a Seahorse Whittler and guess what? It was! This one is a 2021 Black Micarta Smooth Seahorse Whittler 10355WH SS. :)
A birthday present from my son and his son.
A birthday present from my son and his son.
The 1st time I knew about the Seahorse Whittlers, my best friend told me to go by the local pawn shop and look at the ugliest Case knife he had ever seen. I asked him was it a Russlock? He said no, it's something else. So, I stopped by the pawnshop and became the owner of a Seahorse Whittler. I didn't think it was ugly, just unique! ::nod::
This new one needs a bath, it's a tiny bit gritty on the main blade. All 3 blades have a decent factory edge.

A very nice gift Treefarmer ! I don’t think it’s ugly either. Now my thoughts on the Russlock:
Probably the ugliest and poorest design of any knife ever made. Ugly, awkward etc. Apparently there are people who must like it because Case still makes that ugly impractical garbage knife.
"The Edge...There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
