Germany - Fixed Blade Knives.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

I bought this fixed blade knife quite some time ago. It is a MADE IN GERMANY, fixed blade, four tools, one main blade stamp, "Deer Head" knife. The main blade stamp says, "SOLINGEN (over) MADE IN GERMANY" It measures 9" total length and it DOES have some weight to it. It did NOT come with a sheath.

I bought this fixed blade knife quite some time ago. It is a MADE IN GERMANY, fixed blade, four tools, one main blade stamp, "Elk Head" knife. The main blade stamp says, "DECORA - SOLINGEN (over) MADE IN GERMANY (over) D.B.G.M." It measures 9" total length and it DOES have some weight to it. It did come with, what I believe to be, the original sheath. The sheath is stamped or marked "MADE IN GERMANY"

*D.B.G.M stands for "Deutsches Bundes Gebrauchsmuster." This means "German Federal Registered Design" and indicates that the knife was made after 1949.* (per Worthpoint)

The main blade stamp says, "DECORA - SOLINGEN (over) MADE IN GERMANY (over) D.B.G.M." It measures 9" total length and it DOES have some weight to it. It did come with an unmarked sheath. I do not know if the sheath originally came with the knife.
