Not Playing With A Full Deck.....

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Very recently, my visit to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest "card" to be posted under this topic or thread and to be added to the "deck." It is a WESTERN, King Of Hearts, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/4" closed, lockback, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "WESTERN (over) U.S.A." This pocket knife came with an unopened, made in the U.S.A., poker size, deck of Western Knives playing cards. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

I want to clarify something about my previous posts regarding the three pocket knives, two Queens and a Ten, that are on the three, original, store display cards. I was able to determine the tang stamp on each pocket knife very easily. I simply, but VERY carefully, removed each pocket knife from the display card and looked at the tang stamp. Out of the three pocket knives that were advertised, on the display card itself, as being the WESTERN brand, one was a WESTERN brand and two were the CAMILLUS brand. The three pocket knives were posted on Saturday, May 27, 2023. On Thursday, July 13, 2023 and on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Now, about this current post.....

The main blade front tang stamp says "WESTERN (over) U.S.A." A couple of days ago, my trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest "card" to be posted under this topic or thread and the latest to be added to the "deck." It is a WESTERN, Jack Of Hearts, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/8" closed, lockback, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp (X'd out) says, "WESTERN (over) U.S.A." Now all I need is a WESTERN, X'd out, King Of Hearts pocket knife, and I will have a complete, WESTERN, X'd out straight flush. The blade has no half stop and a weak opening and closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD+ condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Thank you, John.🍻
I still do NOT understand why the Jack Of Hearts, with a CAMILLUS tang stamp,
AND the Ten Of Hearts, with a CAMILLUS tang stamp, are so hard to find. ::shrug::
I have neither. It is a FRUSTRATING hunt. But, if it was easy, it wouldn't be much fun.
As it is my goal to assemble as many COMPLETE, same tang stamps, straight flush sets as possible, they ARE needed.

I seriously doubt it. The display packaging measures 7" x 9" and has a slot for hanging. The display packaging, with some creases and opened, is in FAIR condition. The playing cards are still sealed and in MINT condition. The pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. The blade has no half stop. It does have a soft opening and closing snap. The pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off.

Yesterday afternoon, my trip to the post office produced this item. It was completely unexpected, but VERY much appreciated. It is a hand carved and decorated, CAMILLUS, Jack Of Hearts, pocket knife. ::tu:: ::tu::
It measures 3 1/8" closed. The main blade front tang "stamp" (double line) says, "CAMILLUS (over) New York (over) U.S.A." The main blade back tang "stamp" has Coley's initials and the year. The blade has a good half stop, along with a good opening and closing snap. It will make a good filler until I obtain a CAMILLUS tang stamped, Jack Of Hearts, pocket knife.
***** A VERY special THANK YOU goes out to Coley (C-WADE7) for this thoughtful and most generous gift.::handshake:: *****

Yesterday afternoon, my trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest "card" to be posted under this topic or thread and also to be added to the "deck." It is a WESTERN, Ten Of Hearts, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/8" closed, lockback, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "WESTERN (over) U.S.A." This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. The blade has no half stop. It does have a soft opening and closing snap. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

This morning, my visit to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest "card", although not part of the regular "deck", to be posted under this topic or thread. It is a WESTERN, King Of Hearts, one blade, one tool (a file), one tang stamp, 2 1/8" closed, money clip, "lobster" pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "WESTERN+ (over) U.S.A." This pocket knife, along with a still sealed deck of playing cards, came in its original display packaging. This is my first "card" pocket knife that is from "The Maverick" Series and NOT from "The Gambler" Series of pocket knives. The display packaging measures 7" x 9" and has a slot for hanging. The display cardboard has a few minor issues and is in FAIR+ condition. The plastic part of the display is really yellowed and VERY brittle. I VERY carefully removed the pocket knife from the display. The deck of cards was easy to remove. The main blade has NO half stop, but it does have a VERY GOOD opening snap and a VERY GOOD closing snap. The tool also has NO half stop, but it too has a VERY GOOD opening snap and a VERY GOOD closing snap. The pocket knife AND the playing cards are both in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
