Omega switchblade
I posted this knife in another thread and member Madmarco suggested I post it here. I picked this up as part of a set of knives. This was the only switchblade and is the best of the lot. The horn handles are in really good shape with no dings or insect holes. I do not know much about it other than I like it and it is a nice addition. Any thoughts are welcome.

... Greetings, Pops... !!! .. you have a great knife.. Omega was an importing company in America in the 1950's... they imported and sold Italian switchblades made by various Italian makers,... is it 13" (34cm) open length,.. ?? ... I collect these with blonde handle scales.. PM me if you are interested in an exchange or re-home,... Thanx....

Full name- Omega Jewelry & Leather Novelty Co.
It's my understanding that their earliest knives bore their entire name on the tang, then in later knives they shortened it to just "Omega Import Co", then they switched to a more stylized "Omega" stamp.
Nice Knife.

It's a very nice example of the 1950s Italian stiletto.
It appears the button spring may be weak or broken, as the button is sitting low in the handle.

It is weak. I have to fiddle with it, especially when closing.Bill DeShivs wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 6:59 pm It's a very nice example of the 1950s Italian stiletto.

I love Omegas, sweet knife. If you ever decide to part with it please keep me in mind. Its a size I don't have.
I also have lots to trade if you collect slip joints and other traditional knives

Those 2 are really nice, P.D., and they look like 11"er's, I hope "Pops" will accommodate you with his 13"er, it sounds like you'd really like it for your collection!
