I met this young man back a couple months ago that was doing 100% full custom hand made knives at a small local knife show. Talked with him a bit and introduced him to a local knife dealer (worked out well for both). He asked if I had an old worn out stockman in my stash he could buy for cheap to use as a pattern. He hadn’t done any stockman patterns. I said o but I got this mint Camillus 4” stockman that you can have. He said he couldn’t take it but I insisted and all I asked was he remember where it came from. Well turns out he messaged me a few weeks later with one he had made. I said I want it but he said nope it wasn’t perfect and was bis first so he was going to carry it. I understood andsaid keep me in mind well a couple weeks later he sent pictures and said this one is yours if you want it. I said TAKE
anyway long story short he sold it to me at a huge discount for supplying the pattern.
He was a contestant on forged in fire a few years ago. His name is Josh Howard. If you have or are considered a full custom please contact and consider this young man his work is top notch and his work will only get more expensive in The future. awesome fixed blades also. He forges his own damascus.
