I am trying to find out if gerber made a roofing knife in the early 90’s with the marlin spike?
My bf bought one at the shop on his naval ship back then and it got stolen. I’m trying to replace it. But I can’t seem to find a gerber one at all.
Could someone help me?

Welcome to AAPK. I can’t answer your question but wanted to tell you someone here probably knows the answer, but it may take a while for them to see your post and reply. So you may need to check back here again after a few days - don’t give up after a few minutes of no response. There are several Gerber collectors who are members here, plus at least one who ran a cutlery retail store that sold Gerber products.
If you haven’t found it yet there is an entire sub-forum here dedicated to Gerber. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... m.php?f=99 You might find what you’re looking for in the posts there.
Last resort - try to contact Gerber and ask them. https://www.gerbergear.com/en-us/support/contact

I have collected Gerbers for several decades and am unaware that the company ever sold a rigging knife. Camillus made such a pattern about that time frame, and Buck also sold the Camillus made knives, but with Buck branding and black handles.

Thank you! In your opinion which is the better knife to get with the marlin spike Camillus Kabar or Miycherin? Titanium or stainless steel? He loves to fish and once loved the knife.

I'm sorry, but I can't be of any help. I'm just not familiar with those knives.
