Bare with me I'm new.. I acquired this very used horseman knife blades are about gone but still has pic and tweezers.. would love to hear any input about it and estimated value.

I wouldn't know a value but you have a fine old relic that you should not let go of.
(it might want a little oil)

Thanks Joe. I wish it was in better shape yet at the same time you have to respect the work this thing has put in during its lifetime for someone...

Welcome to AAPK. Nice find!

It’s difficult to put a value on a knife based on pictures alone. Important things like how the blades function etc require the knife in-hand. Positives are that it appears all the parts are there. Negatives are its condition. With collectable pocket knives, condition is a paramount factor in determining value.

The best source for current value of an item is an advanced search of eBay, for sold listings only, of the item. In this case I’d search for sold listings of “horseman knife” or similar. Look for knives in similar condition to yours, and read the seller’s description which may (or may not) give more info about the knife’s condition. Compare to yours and adjust accordingly if necessary.

Welcome Donald. Like to see some good, close up pics of the blade stampings. Just wondering if the knife is all original. It's the first H & B horse knife I've ever seen. It's a dead ringer for any of the Sheffield brands. Thanks and good luck with it. J.O'.

I'd have to clean it up to get a better picture but this is what I've got so far

Thanks. That's very interesting. A rare bird indeed. Don't mean to be instructive, but clean it easy, no harsh abrasives. Let those blades soak in some oil like 3 in 1. That will loosen some rust and just wipe them down. There are some good "cleaning" instruction on this site.
