Thought I would share some knives I picked up a few days ago at the Denton antique mall.
The little one is a Craftsman, the next one just has CUT on the shield and tang; the next one is a Kinfolks in great shape; next one has a deer head and "White Tail" on the tang. The big boy has ONTARIO 9-87 stamped on the edge of the pommel.

Yesterday I was in a store and spotted this little slide blade knife. I noticed how good of shape
it was in and the price was only $5. It's not old but I think I only have two in my collection.

That is a very nice little knife and it may be older than you think. With no area code that phone number goes back to at least October of 1947 when ACs first appeared.

I thought about that Ray but it's so clean and even has the rough edges on the plastic seams. The blade still has the same perfect bevel and has never been sharpened. You may be right and this one has just been hiding in some box or drawer for all these years.

My sister is in town for the holidays. We like to hit the flea markets and antique shops, but as it's winter, no flea markets. We hit half a dozen antique shops..she collects anything penguin-related, so she was able to clean up real good.

Most of the knives I see are junk, overpriced, or both. I did find these 2, which are not what I normally see around the area, so they were cool finds.

The first one is a Valley Forge pliers knife. I wasn't sure at first if it was a cobble job, but I took a chance on it, and it turns out to be a legit pattern. The main is short, but it doesn't take away from the cool factor for me. It even has remnants of the etch...

This other is a cute little Remington, R7713 pattern. Again, wasn't sure if it was a legit pattern, and the lack of a center pin threw me off, but some research after shows they were made with and without exposed center pins.

Overall, I'm really pleased with these finds, and time spent with sis is always a good thing!
