I jigged an old advertising barlow
I found a group of advertising barlows. Alot of the white delrin? Or whichever plastic it is, is yellowing. The letters are faded and chipped. Tough to clean up the plastic without taking all the letters off. Scratched my head for a while on how best to make these old work horses look nice. On a whim I took out my dremel and cut off wheel and roughed in a jig. It's my first attempt at it. What do you guys think? Is it an improvement or did i ruin a nice old knife and make Lake Lillian Grain elevators company upset i ruined their advert?
Added bonus, if you have a similar knife I can tell you definitively it's from 1979-ish.

Nope, not ruined at all! Sometimes you have to step out there and do a little experimentation in order to learn and develop new ideas.
I have not done much jigging, but when I did I used a ball-burr bit in a Dremel tool. You can find different sized sets that are inexpensive, and that make really good patterns.

Pick up a set of something similar and try them, and I think that you will like the results even better.

Appreciate it fellas.
Good suggestion Reverand. I don't have any burr bits. Just the metal zip bits and those seem too aggressive. The burs seem just right.

I've got 4 identical ones. I'll probably try to jig each. Maybe look up and follow a classic design instead of just going ham on it like a Dr. Suess character.
