Rookie wrote: Fri Dec 29, 2023 7:28 pm The last one is this unique 1 piece prototype. It is called the "Pathfinder" and was built on the Phoenix Jack frame. This was a test to try out some possibilities for future runs, including: a small recessed EO to reach the nail pull, fluted/lined bolsters, laser etching on the blade, compass insert in the handle, and a different type of handle material (in this case, compressed hemp wood).
:shock: ::woot:: OUTSTANDING...SIMPLY BREATHTAKING!!!

I hope Ryan decides to go ahead with production on the Pathfinder. Put me on the pre-order list if it will help him make the decision. ::nod::

haha, he checks this thread occassionally. But I'll point it out to him as well. I am really hoping to make it to a handful of shows this year and bring some of my collection along to display, and talk with other knife guys.

Sorry for interrupting your thread, Carl. (Blame Madmarco, he made me unable to resist posting the monkey memes!)

Cool knife Carl! He could sign me up for one as well.

Hope you can make it to the Lexington show in August. I would love to see your display. I may try to make the Pigeon Forge show again in March as well.

Beautiful looking knife Chickenman! You can sure make out the "Raindrop" pattern in the damascus.

My favorite TV pattern ::nod:: Good score! ::tu::

Curious if it's destined to be a user or a collectible? ::hmm::

Wise choice! ::tu::

I was asking because I'm always wondering if anyone ever actually carries a Damascus folder. I'm sure someone must but I don't know anyone who does.

Gift from a friend. I have a number of knife picks and thought they were all basically the same. I was surprised at how nice this TV pick felt in hand, so much nicer than any of my other knife picks.

Looks like a nice big chunk of burnt stag on that one! Is it super thick?

I should have photographed both sides. Yep it is a thick slab of stag. I think my stag Phoenix is even thicker.

Next up, the production run of the Old Man Norman in 2022 in Amber Stag.
Great looking Old Man Norman, Carl! Look forward to seeing some group shots of your TVs. I think a group shot of Burnt Stags, Amber Stags & Ivories would look amazing...
I spent a little time yesterday pulling out all the Burnt Stag knives, wiping them down, and setting them up for a group shot. Hope you enjoy.

For sure, I hope so as well. Right now I'm planning on going to the Badger show in Wisconsin in March, Bluegrass show in Kentucky in May, Little Valley show in New York in July, Central KY show in Kentucky in August, Titusville show in Pennsylvania in August, and the NCCA show in Massachusetts in September.
