Tuna Valley Cutlery Co., Excelsior Knife Co., & Napanoch Knife Co. are three popular brands currently controlled by The Daniels family. These are old names that went dormant for years, but have since been brought back to life with modern offerings. This forum is here to discuss & show off knives & related items with brand names under the Daniels Family umbrella.

The last one is this unique 1 piece prototype. It is called the "Pathfinder" and was built on the Phoenix Jack frame. This was a test to try out some possibilities for future runs, including: a small recessed EO to reach the nail pull, fluted/lined bolsters, laser etching on the blade, compass insert in the handle, and a different type of handle material (in this case, compressed hemp wood).
OUTSTANDING...SIMPLY BREATHTAKING!!!
I hope Ryan decides to go ahead with production on the Pathfinder. Put me on the pre-order list if it will help him make the decision.

haha, he checks this thread occassionally. But I'll point it out to him as well. I am really hoping to make it to a handful of shows this year and bring some of my collection along to display, and talk with other knife guys.

The Monkey is on a rampage!
That's the one, that's the little bandit right there, sitting there with all his knives around him just waiting for his next victim!!!
If he only knew the heartache and problems he's caused among married couples I'm sure he'd change his evil ways, maybe!
Anyway, to AAPK, Mister Monkey!
Bad Monkey or not, ya just gotta dig that wraparound moustache he's sportin', best stash I think I've ever seen!

Cool knife Carl! He could sign me up for one as well.
Hope you can make it to the Lexington show in August. I would love to see your display. I may try to make the Pigeon Forge show again in March as well.

Lexington is one I was hoping to make it to for 2024.
Gift from a friend. I have a number of knife picks and thought they were all basically the same. I was surprised at how nice this TV pick felt in hand, so much nicer than any of my other knife picks.

Beauty! There were not very many made in mother of pearl.

I should be on track for showing my entire Tuna Valley collection here by New Years. Only a few handfuls still to go. After that, I'll just post here when I have new ones to show. Or maybe do some fancy group shots.
Next up, the production run of the Old Man Norman in 2022 in Amber Stag.
Great looking Old Man Norman, Carl! Look forward to seeing some group shots of your TVs. I think a group shot of Burnt Stags, Amber Stags & Ivories would look amazing...
I spent a little time yesterday pulling out all the Burnt Stag knives, wiping them down, and setting them up for a group shot. Hope you enjoy.

For sure, I hope so as well. Right now I'm planning on going to the Badger show in Wisconsin in March, Bluegrass show in Kentucky in May, Little Valley show in New York in July, Central KY show in Kentucky in August, Titusville show in Pennsylvania in August, and the NCCA show in Massachusetts in September.
