Green river works knife
I recently found a fixed blade knife that was made by J.Russell & co green river works and was made for Abercrombie & fitch any info on back ground ,age and value will be great

Based on ebay "sold" listings I see a few like that but none with the stag handles.

Good looking knife! I know very little about Russell knives, but I’m thinking either not a very old knife, or it’s been re-handled?

Great knife!!! I believe a DeWesse pattern (really like that pattern!) not sure I spelled that right. You don't see many around!!!

That's technically a fish knife, err no?
I recall seeing one like that one time, but i believe it had some diamond checkered jigging on dark brown bown. So maybe yours is rehandled?
I could be wrong but i think Russell used the diamond pattern somewhat frequently.

Knife has not been rehandled; it is a very rare knife. Not many where made for sure and it might have been made by Utica for Russell.
