I recently received this 10" open Hubertus "Slimline" leverlock that was made to be exported only due to German blade length laws.
Along with it's wonderful 10" length it features a SS flat ground spear-point blade with filework on the false top edge as well as the "W" preceding "Germany" on the blade etch denoting it was made in the 80's whereas copies without the "W" were made after that, NS bolsters and lever, brass liners and pins, and much sought after rare except on their "Fishwacker" and kriss blade models black micarta covers, they're as rare as hen's-teeth on their single straight blade models, but I found this one.
I've owned a copy of their smaller 8" "Slimline" for sometime now, but I've desired one of these 10"er's ever since I first saw one way back when, and even went as far as to try to purchase one from Henning Ritter directly from his site, but it didn't happen and I've waited patiently since then until this copy came along. Their 10" model with stag covers are readily available if you choose to pay their inflated price, and have almost become common. This is a Grail knife to me!
