Dear TPK's most patient and understanding wife; It is imperative that every house has some Viking axes! They are great for an unexpected zombie apocalypse, or a global climate crises, where the world begins to freeze over and one needs to chop lot's of fire wood to survive ::hmm:: . I'll tell you where you can find some Viking Axes ... Can you take a trip down to Bulgaria? The make a locally produced bearded ax that looks pretty much like a Viking ax. I bought one a few years ago when I was in Turkey, it was stout!

Hey Buddy! It worked! ::tu:: She's all in and can even come up with her own reasons why we need a few Viking axes. She said "Or you have a big ball of yarn that's ::bad_day:: ::cuss:: ::not_saying:: ::censored:: you off, you can just chop it in half!" ::woot::

I've attempted to hang a couple axes/hatchets/mauls over the past 10 years to no avail....BUT
I think I got it right with this US Maul (not sure who the maker is but guessing it's military related
because there is no A at the end of US).

It never stops!!!! ::facepalm:: The constant unhappy events in life NEVER stop, ::dang::
Yes! :x It never stops!!!! :x I had these axes perfectly cleaned and I set them on the floor by my front door, each one in it's own plastic grocery store bags. Then my dog drinks about 2 gallons of water and then throws up by the door and I find this the next morning and don't realize the dog-water-vomit has gotten into the bages..... ::doh:: .... and now my axes that were all cleaned and ready to photograph .... well just look at the pictures ::facepalm::

I have no power tools, all my work is done by hand. I restored the head on this Craftsman, and slathered up
the cracked handle with epoxy and then wrapped with paracord....I think the paracord is no one
with the epoxy...LOL

Scott ,
Do you soak or coat the paracord in epoxy or just put a layer underneath it on the handle before wrapping? I’m thinking soaking it would almost act like fiberglass repair and be really strong. Nice restoration.
