I was pretty proud of my Fuller Pliers. Made In England.... until I saw the Winchester pilers.... now it doesn't seem like such a great tool anymore....

A button press! That's hilarious. I could, if i had all 300 of the parts im missing, make new knife swag items...

I'm actually thinking about repurposing it into a press of sorts of my own. Maybe to tighten up a blade with some play when my vice is occupied...or to punch holes in seat bealt. Maybe.

Very interesting fence pliers. I don't think those are the owners initials - I think that stands for Grange League Federation. GLF was a farm store in the New York area. It says here the pliers were patented in 1900 by Maxon & Maxon. There is also another pair that sold on e-bay - same markings - they were asking $39.99, so your $3 was a great buy.

I thought they might be early pliers. They certainly have been used but then apparently put away for a very long time.
They're still in decent shape.

I have used lots of fencing pliers, growing up on a ranch, but I have not seen ones like that before. It looks like an effective design.

Fence pliers are something I pick up when I find one I don’t already have. Think I have a dozen or more and probably have not scratched the surface of variety. Farriers hammers are another weakness. Oh heck I like all old tools. Lol

I sure will. Got to unearth em in my shop. In an organized (not) pile under a couple feet of other stuff too good to throw away. Give me a day or two to outfit the expedition. It possible I could find Jimmy Hoffa too.

Late 1800s, so I have read.

I posted these just before the outage a few weeks ago, and they were lost - hence the re-post.

I picked these up at an estate sale last month. The old "Red Devil" hack saw has patent dates of 1904 and 1905. I cleaned it up a bit and installed a new blade. Good for another 100+ years.

The tiny Millers Falls No. 33 plane was made 1929 to 1974. This one dates to the mid-1960s. It's only 3 3/8" long and 1" wide. It was in very good shape - I just cleaned, waxed, and sharpened it.

I used to have a big router table set up in my shop, but I used it so infrequently, I broke it down to make room for other clutter. I still have need for a router table from time to time, so I was thinking about buying a table top model, but hadn't pulled the trigger yet. Then a few weeks back, I was at the flea market with my son, and I spotted this. The guy wanted $10 for it, so I couldn't pass it up. I think I even have a PC router that will fit in there, and I was thinking about re-working the fence from the big table model I still have tucked away.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll get around to it when I have time....

I cleaned up this old wrench for my friend. He got it in a bucket of tools from his great-grandfather. Best I can tell, it's a locomotive or tractor wrench from the late 1800s, early 1900s. No markings on it, except for the initials "H.N." lightly drilled into each side.

The small side is 7/8", and the big side is 1" to almost 1 1/4" (it's a little wallowed out)
