Saturday is always interesting when the flea market is open & today was no exception. One of the vendors who sells knives has a box of knives marked $5 & periodically he re-stocks it.
Today I found a couple interesting items. A Case 282-5 steak knife; a Wusthof Gladiator utility(S.A.K. style) advertising Kaufman Ulm; a no-name assisted opener; and the prize: a Spyderco Delica(Seki City) in a pouch that has never seen a stone.
Total cost: 15 bux.

Thank you Gary for allowing me the privilege of the custody of this beautiful knife!
I am reluctant to touch such perfection, but I can't help wondering what it would look like with fossil ivory handles?

Glad you got it, Dale, but FYI, I was hot on your tail after that same knife so if you hadn't of snagged it, I definitely would have. Such a beautiful knife ::drool:: Congrats on an excellent score! 8) ::tu::

Very nice, Dale, it's always great when you get a model that's a favorite.
If I was a betting man, I'd bet you got your new Kershaw from Gary/PCWizard, yes?
Just so you don't go crazy wondering "How the he** could he know that", I just read the story in a post from ~Q~! ::handshake::

::hmm:: ... Looks like I'm going to have to pick up the slack for 'Ol Scott this weekend .... seeing as he usually does the "heavy lifting" on this here thread.

::paranoid:: I don't know if I got lucky today or I just got dumber? (more knives in my house ::facepalm::) .... ::doh:: ..... but for my 1st purchase I bought a "Bag-O'-Broken knives" today at an "Up-scale" (i.e. expensive) once a month Sunday flea market.... ::hmm:: ... well, it turned out not all the knives were broken  .... there was even a 3-Line Camillus #27 (29) in there ::woot:: ... ::paranoid:: and then after that... ::paranoid:: I really started wheeling and dealing.... ::dang:: I stopped going to that flea market months ago because I could never find any knives and the ones I found were way over priced.

::hmm:: Well, I only went today because my dog was bouncing off the wall wanting to get out of the house.

Thanks D.L. I had to think quick, as soon as I started looking through them other pickers were crowding the table saying, "Is that your pile?"... "Is that your pile?" ... "are you getting that?" ::skeptic::

TopDog, that is quite a load! ::tu:: The military knife/bayonet with the bakelite scabbard catches my eye. Know what you saying about the other pickers ... nothing worse than someone horning in the middle of business negotiations. ::disgust::

What a great score for you, Dog, congratulations! ::handshake::
I spotted quite a few solid looking useable pieces in there, as well as some "fun" knives for you to "play" with to keep your self entertained. ::groove::
It sounds like that Flea Market is considering themselves as being a retail store with their higher prices, ::hmm:: since most F/M items are traditionally going for maybe 15% of their original value or many with "off the top of their head after they've sized you up" quotes.
Might be time to start looking for a different Flea Market. ::shrug:: ::hmm::
Nice catch, buddy! ::nod::

Thanks Cx3! ::handshake:: The bayonet is a replica bayonet for the legendary M1 Garand rifle, but still a pretty cool find. ::nod::

Thanks M&M ::handshake:: , I have been working on cleaning some of them up and a few of the rustiest ones are already in a vinegar tub soaking away. One of the better scores was a Kutmaster Stockman in great shape, except for the very end/tip of the main blade busted off, but that can be reprofiled on a belt grinder w/o much loss in OAL. ::nod:: .... ::hmm:: If I was you I would just bust the entire blade off.... ::paranoid:: and then bust off the spey blade and then I would have a one bladed knife.... perfect for an M&M collector's piece! ::skeptic::
