Yes sir, buddy, that sure is a good looker, even with it's 2 blades! ::nod::

Many times I've thought to myself when I saw a knife I REALLY liked but it had 2 or more blades, ::idea:: "I could overcome this unacceptable multi blade situation by simply leaving any secondary blades unopened, and then it would look like a single blade'er", but ultimately decided I would still SEE the top edges sticking up from the channel, would FEEL the top edges sticking up from the channel, and most importantly would KNOW the other blades are sticking up from the channel, so that thought was short lived!

I will admit though, lately I have spotted the occasional 2 blade knife that I found attractive, and, the secondary blade was nice enough to my eyes that I could live with it, IF it was deployed by itself while the spear/dagger blade sat quietly inside waiting for it's turn to be deployed, think Kershaw "Allegory"!

I like two blade knives for carry, but no more than two. Kinda sounds like Mark may be on his way to converting. ::shrug::

If I'm reading your comment correctly, Ike, ::hmm:: the Dog is referring to the "Comfort Knives Thread"/CKT, not CRKT knives. This use to be a popular thread, then everyone dropped off for some reason.
I didn't get it either and finally had to ask him what that meant. Dude loves his abbreviations!

Most people have no idea what I mean.

You are probably correct in that he was referring to the thread, and I know a guy who once bought Columbia River knives and then became a big Bark River fan, so I was just razzing him a little.

I have an Imperial USA that is one of 5 or 6 EDCs I rotate around, but I decided to clean it up last night since I’m pretty rough on my EDCs. Spent about 30-45 minutes on it, and, with a little sharpening, looks nice and spiffy now - although not perfect, of course. Really enjoyed in my pocket today after a little TLC. I took it out a couple of times to look at it - didn’t use it for anything - but it just felt nice having it back in my pocket. That, to me, is what a comfort knife is all about.

::uc:: ... Hey .... that does sounds like ME! ... ::hmm:: In the 90's and early 2000s I was a big Columbia River knives fan, I had a ton of them (some of the made in Japan items they produced too ::nod:: ) then in the mid 2000s I got suckered into/converted to Bark River. ::uc:: I was even a BRK collector's club member ::skeptic:: ... I still love their knives .... ::paranoid:: but collecting them and GEC and Case XX and others I was breaking the bank... ::paranoid:: so, I still love BRKs .... but nowadays I'm on a R&R budget 😥😪😥😪

::hmm:: ... And I'll always remain a CKTF (Comfort Knives Thread Fan) ::groove::

In the world of knife collecting/carry, an old ebony in my pocket gives me as much comfort as anything. I have carried an old Empire jack for about a year, but decided to change things up. I just put an edge on this old Northfield, and will give it some pocket time. What could be more comforting than rubbing your fingers across a 100 year old knife, while sitting around a fire and watching chickens foraging in the yard?

Very nice, Ike, I've been an ebony wood guy forever and never get tired of it. It looks great on your knife.
I also like your way of relaxing, speaks volumes to me, although, I'm glad you clarified it, for a while I thought the chickens might be for dinner! Winner-winner, chicken dinner!
