Quick Steel wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2024 10:57 am Marco, I never reflected on the idea that I avoid sinister-looking knives. But now I see that you are correct. I may have one or two buried somewhere around here. I'll have to look. At any rate, thanks for the observation.
You're always welcome for any positive observations I may make, Garry, I only hope you never take anything I post as a put-down in any manner cuz they never are, they're just simple observations. But you know the deal about computer spoken as opposed to face-to-face spoken, sometimes true meanings get misconstrued and feelings get bruised, and that's what I try to avoid.

Actually, my statement isn't entirely accurate, since some of your Japanese cutlery and if memory serves a few of your Cold Steel models could be described as such, but we're all aware, at least I am, that their attraction to you is for their beauty and past history so sinister doesn't really apply.

So, I hope it's all good! ::handshake::

To be perfectly honest, I really don’t need to carry a knife every day. But since I subscribe to “Jethro Gibbs Rule #9”, my daily carry is almost always my little, lightweight Gerber US-1.

Occasionally I will feel the need for a fifth pocket carry and will reach for my Gerber Dime.

And it isn’t unusual to find me sitting around playing with one of my many “flippers” or some other “fidgety” spring assisted or axis lock until the wife complains about the incessant “clicking”.

I like some of the models Gerber puts out, G-351, and yours is one of them. ::tu::
Never been a multi-tool guy, so I don't know much about them, but they sure make some nice folders. ::groove::

Well there are 2 solutions. But since we’ve been together over 50 years, I opt for solution number 2: Just buy another knife, or 3 and a new storage case to put them in. She’ll get over it.

Yep, that definitely is a viable solution, not the one I was thinking of but still suitable, and one I'm sure you've used many times over your 50+ yrs. together! lol! ::tu::

Thank you. It’s not only been “thick and thin”. Had I not found her I would now be incarcerated or dead. She saved me from a “wasted life”. And she has stayed by my side “in sickness (mine) and health”. She is definitely my “better half”. And to paraphrase Wayne and Garth, “I’m not worthy.”

Besides, I know you're joking right now anyway, ::groove:: there's not a snowball's chance in Heaven ::huff:: you could just turn-off that mischievous  ::sneaky:: ::paranoid:: side of you! ::tease::

I'm glad you don't object to our foolin' around, Tony, the occasional member gets upset over it, but since it seems only a few members participate in this thread we do it to pass the time, and hopefully don't upset anyone.

I'm also glad you posted your new dagger here, I saw it in another thread and was going to comment on how gorgeous it is but got distracted and forgot. Actually, you might want to go back to "Mail call" and read what I did post, some nice eye-candy in there.

I'm a big dagger fan, and I haven't seen yours prior to now, it looks great and I bet feels wonderful to handle.

Nice catch, buddy, congratulations on a fine score!

Many thanks Mark! I went over to Mail Call .. you have a very nice dagger collection. Hard to pick a favorite out of those!
My fixed blade collection is growing leaps and bounds ... will catch up posting them all some day. This would be a good thread to post them in.
