Comfort Knives!

I'm back-logged about 4 dozen knives to post, and now I know why, every time I come over here to post a knife, there's more banter to read or be involved in, so cut it out you guys!

Knowing me as some of you do, I'm sure you can imagine the level of comfort this knife brings me!

It's an 11" AGA Campolin rare "Francese" ring-pull auto, that has a 3mm SS modified bayonet blade, NS bolsters pull-ring and button, brass liners and pins, Pearlex covers, and a safety.
Has a nice weight around 8 oz.'s and came with the bottom edge sharpened.
The action is crisp followed by certain lock-up.
Whoever owned it before me looked after it, cuz it's fit and finish is factory clean.

For anyone not familiar with this type of blade release, the blade is closed by positioning your knuckle against the top of the blade while the tip of the same finger is hooked in the hole, then, using a rocking motion by pulling on the ring, it forces pressure from your knuckle onto the blade and releases it from the lock-tab for folding closed. It's way cool! I just noticed that the pull-ring isn't showing in either picture, but I assure it's there attached between the bolster "ears".

The bottom picture gives the knife a "stubby" appearance, because I shot it on a slant in an attempt to reduce the glare, the top picture is a more accurate view of it's size!

P.S. - I STILL get the jacket!

Mark, that is a beautiful AGA ... pearl is awesome! Been looking at a lot of autos lately, but keep running into fixed blades I can't pass up.

Nobody asked me either, but when I saw where we'd be heading I looked for the best thing in the picture that would help make life a bit more comfortable, and it was the jacket, which BTW.....is still mine!

Much thanks, Tony, I know that feeling well, I see a model I can't live without then turn around and buy something completely different. At least it creates variety in my accumulation!
BTW, that's not genuine MOP, it's Pearlex a faux acrylic material but it still works in giving the knife a great look, IMO!

Marco that is Sweet!!! Those larger stiletos are just too cool .... I am thinking a buddy had an AGA Campolin, but, with stag scales on it and that was a real looker for a stag-handle-lover. I am pretty sure that it was made by AGA Campolin So it was nice to hold one like that my my hands (even if my hands are a little beat-up theses days ...please see previous pictures for a better idea of hand condition)

Just discovered a Belgian knife company - Cultra. They don’t have a large offering, but all their knives look real nice. I emailed them about shipping to the US. The owner (I think) very kindly emailed back and said it would be about $26 in shipping. That was just a little too high especially when you’re ordering an under $50 knife. I was able to find this one on EBay. It retails for 44.99 euros. It’s called their “Big Bill” and is a really good quality knife. A weighty 5.3 ounces. 4 3/4” closed, 8 1/2” open. Beautiful Olive Wood handle. Their blade description says stainless steel, 12.5% chrome. It’s a tight knife with gator snap. I really like this one more than I thought I would. Marco, I think you’d really like this one! Their website is Cultra.be.
