Thanks for your generous offer, Tony, but I think I have the situation under control. When I saw your picture I recognized the knife right away, but I couldn't remember where I'd seen it before. After some thinking, which REALLY hurt my head BTW, I remembered. It was in an eBay store, "gonewalkaboutau" (no quotations) in Australia.
He had 2 Khyber 1610's listed at one time, but his prices were high and that's why I didn't think I currently own a copy, although I might, (see below) but it seems I should have acted since you have told me they sold for much more than what you paid at auction, so perhaps his prices were justified.
At this point, it's a moot issue since my initial "Monkey-see Monkey-do" rush has cooled off due to me remembering I'm trying to cut-back on my purchases. Now don't get me wrong, if a copy showed up for small money of course I'd jump, it's just my initial "gotta have one" has faded into obscurity. On top of that, I think I have one already buried somewhere in my pile, (see above) and if I find it during an upcoming reorganization I will surely post it.
His stock is low currently, but you might wanted add him to your "Saved Sellers" list and go browsing from time to time, cuz he usually has lots of knives in styles and brands we like.

I checked gonewalkaboutau store, put him in my Saved Sellers, and yes, he has some high prices! However, this may be a good reference point on knives we want to get. Right off the bat, several Japan made were there to eyeball ... good stuff!

Understand "just chillin'" about a knife after that initial rush is over It happens to us all.

That's pretty much why I suggested you add him to your list, Tony, to reference back and possibly see something we like while there but priced more reasonably, cuz I have seen knives he had much lower priced, and is actually why I'm thinking I might have bought a 1610 from him.

It's a RR RRR Hippo-Toe, and unfortunately one of their higher priced models, $55. for mine but I feel it's worth it, when you wrap your fingers around it it almost feels like it's integrating with your fist, I think you'd like it!

Thank you, Garry, I know you like a cool knife when you see one, and I also know that feeling about not knowing what it is you like about Hippo's, if someone asked me "what it is you like about Hippo-Toe knives", my best answer would be, "something about them appearing to be so hefty yet compact at the same time".

Adding a longtime C.K. of mine to the thread is my heavy duty Anza Kephart FB. It is .25 of an inch thick at the spine and made from a file ... a very strong knife. I was into Anzas about 10 years and ended up with several, but traded of most to raise cash for other knife purchases.... .... but I am not made of money and super wealthy like some contributors to the CKT (I'm not mentioning any names here M&M & TMK so your secret is safe ).

Looks like a real workhorse, Dog, a 1/4" blade converts to 6.35mm, and that's 1.35mm wider than the thickest blade on many custom autos, wow. I also very much like the blade shape, it's different somehow.
