BOMB SHIELD?

The first Robeson knives were imported by Millard Robeson from England and Germany exclusively. This continued from 1979 until 1896 when Robeson began manufacturing knives in the United States. Since inception, the company has gone through several reorganizations & eventually ended up as a Queen Cutlery brand.

BOMB SHIELD?

Post by Ridgegrass »

Does anyone have, or have a picture of, a Robeson knife with a "skinny" bomb shield ? I've been searching books and the net and I can't find one. Not saying they didn't make one, I just can't say I've ever seen one or owned one. Thanks. J.O'.

Define “skinny”.

I've heard the second one called a bomb shield, not my idea. Just making the difference. Thanks, O'.

Bomb and Federal. ::tu:: Winchester used a lot of Federal shields.

A Robeson in Jim Sargent’s book would have been mine.

Here are a few:

Some or all of these no longer belong to me, so I'm just showing the shields.

::hmm:: I'm thinking J.O's #17 might be a Bomb shield now, not a Federal, which is usually squared off. Or could it be an Hour Glass? 🩱

Charlie, it's on a Cattaraugus thread.

Here are a couple shots. Not sure if they're any better. 36 in the case and 26 on the board, 62 in all. I have a few more in other displays. Glad I got them over the years. Haven't bought a Catt in two years. Getting scarce. J.O'.

Very nice.

However, I thought you must have an intact vintage Robeson board and I had no recollection of having seen it before.
