Eagle knife

I made this knife and leather sheath up as a gift. It was an experience to make. Eagle head is carved from brass, Forged guard with brass for talons. A friend made the damascus billet and I forged it to shape. The sheath is lined and done with a eagle head carving and feather overlays obviously dyed red white and blue. Figured I would share with the group here.

Also this Custom box was made to house it and I carved the leather flying eagle for the inside of the box.

Yes I made this for my oldest son to.commerate him earning his Eagle scout. My father who is 83 years young made the custom wood box out of cherry wood also. My youngest is working on his eagle scout as well and I'm working on a knife for him currently.

I never attempted anything like the brass carving or the talon guard before he was thrilled with it. I was glad he earned rhe rank and that I could make it for him.
