I like that hairpin, could you give some dimensions as I think my granddaughters would like something like that. ๐Ÿ™‚

Length is about 7โ€ total (which is a bit long, I made it where I could trim it to the length that works for her) the shank is about a 1/4โ€ diameter and the cat is about 1โ€x1โ€. I did not have a pattern I just drew it on a piece of wood and went for it.

Made a Mechanic caricature of the guy I work with. Pine wood, watered acrylic paint and all done with knives(other than the rough out cut with a band saw).

Thanks, I always have a hard time giving them away after I make them, itโ€™s nice to have a little shelf full of carvings. I I try not to let greed or pride get ahold of me though , and pass them along as I intended.

A buddy works for the street dept. and I give him hell about leaning on a shovel all day, so I whittled a caricature of him.

Great work C-WADE, you nailed it. I retired from the city as a traffic signal tech. I always told folks that I worked in a red light district.

Thanks guys! My buddy retired from the County precinct took a year or so off the hired on with the city. I guess he needed a change in shovels not scenery.

Thank you, I photo a lot of my stuff and have the majority of what Iโ€™ve carved on my mantle or a shelf at my wifeโ€™s restaurant. The ones I give away I try to keep a pic of.

Coley, the New York Mets were called "Amazin'."
I think that your whittling and carving talents are the true definitions of "Amazin'." ::tu:: ::tu::
