We do Garry, we have and abundance of wildlife it seems and we enjoy them even if some are a nuisance.
We had a armadillo roadkill within a mile of my house this past week, although I've not seen a live one we know they are around.
It doesn't take much to entertain ole folks. ::handshake::

These were borrowed from tv, the nest is at the Cumberland river bridge going into Old Hickory. Tn. I went over that bridge every work day except one for 40 years, but never saw any osprey. Matter of fact I never knew of them rasing in this area.

We have a couple birds around the shop I couldn’t identify so I downloaded the Merlin app and identified it as a Mississippi Kite, then looking through this thread I saw one posted a few back. Right now the locust are so loud it’s hard to hear any birds around.

There has ben a beautiful Snowy Egret visiting the pond in the last few days.
I'm using a zoom lens but I can get quite close to it.

While taking pictures of flowers this pretentious Hummingbird came barging into the picture. A lot of nerve!

On the trail of the pond I found these two little orphans.
Sweet and desperate as they were I left them to the world they abide in.

Had this guy land in my back yard. Stayed for several minutes. He jumped down into the grey tub and appeared to be eating insects. Being that he's a larger, hawk I'll guess, I wouldn't have suspected that he'd eat bugs. There's so many squirrels of every color around. Chipmunks. Small birds. A veritable buffet.

Charming shots Ike.

We have not encountered much variety around here. Still, we have been blessed with abundant Robins all summer. since they have chosen our property to spend their summers I shall not look askance at them because they are "common." I too am common.

I live about 100 yards from a park with lots of nut bearing trees that supports a large and active squirrel population. A nesting pair of hawks has chosen a tree in the middle of this park for home. It could be that this is one of those, or perhaps one of the many that seem to be in the area now, possibly migrating? It hasn't returned to the back yard though. However, from my front porch I see hawks nearly every day.

These came by for a snack

They got their ole bellies full and wandered to the shade and the crows come in to finish the leavings.
