These are some knives I picked up in Justin, TX. yesterday.
On the left is a Sabre Ireland Slimeline Trapper. Top middle is a Carl Schlieper Eye Brand Large Trapper #82 on the pile side of the main blade. On the right is a small 2011 CASE Trapper #6207 SS. Middle front is a PARKER CUT. CO. World's Fair Souvenir knife and it's a good thing the blade is surgical steel because I stabbed my hand with it. I'm kind of excited about the Eye Brand Trapper. It has the CARL SCHLIEPER (over) SOLINGEN GERMANY on the tang of both blades and a lot of etching on the main blade with the single eye mark. If anyone has more information on this knife I would greatly appreciate it.

Found this at my grampa's house. It was brought home from Vietnam. Apparently its hand hammered from a US Jeep leaf spring. The tooling is on both sides of the blade.

Forgot to mention it was bought from a Montagnard tribesman.

What kinda wood you figure it's handled with?
The Jeep leaf spring absolutely makes sense. Good steel, and they had ample access to abandoned and damaged American vehicles. I was also told, however, that the guard piece was made from a shell casing.

I picked up this pair at a show this weekend. A Hubertus Camper and a Boker 712R.
The Hubertus has some beefy stag! Been wanting one for a long time so I was excited to find it. The Boker was too hard to walk away from, so it came home with me as well

Tom (bestgear, and Cosgrove Cutlery), was nice enough to notice that my Buck collection post was missing Scout knives. He kindly, with no pressure whatsoever reached out to me and told me that if I ever wanted to add one to my collection, he had a few. Well long story short, I now own two great old Buck BSA knives in mint condition! Thanks again, Tom!

What kinda wood you figure it's handled with?

Maybe one of the Rosewoods? It is very common in India (not too far away) or it could be teak.... Teak trees have been over harvested the last 100 years, but maybe fifty years ago there were still plenty around....
