Excellent BD TopDog .. I like the look of the skinning blades on Bullgogs!
To me, they seem to have a taller profile going toward the tip ... Nice!!

Another great example of your fine taste in pocket cutlery, Dog, and taste isn't born, it's developed. Your usual outdoor scenery fits the shot perfectly, again.

Hey Marco! Haven't posted a good comfort knife lately. I think this one qualifies..The Cocobolo handles are very smooth, and just feel good in the hand..

Re: Comfort Knives!
Well, it's not so bad, Dog, at least you just shifted the spot to his side rather than his back, it still looks O.K. and he still has somewhere to carry his EDC stuff. I wonder if you can fit your EDC stuff in there too, or if it's too small?
That Spot Remover is some powerful stuff, even after shifting said spot to his side from his back, with a little more rubbing it disappears completely as witnessed in the final shot, unless of course you were able to get Zeus to hold his leg up thus hiding the spot, long enough for you to take the bogus picture, but that would be silly and down right dishonest of you now, wouldn't it?

Going thru a few that I hadn't looked at in a while, and "rediscovered" this New York Knife. I had forgotten about it, and forgotten how much I liked it. Everything about it, imo, makes it a comfort knife, and it will be close at hand in the upcoming days/weeks.

A true "Comfort Knife", Ike! That;s just beautiful. Love the reshaped blade. It's probably very useful.Waukonda wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 1:14 am Going thru a few that I hadn't looked at in a while, and "rediscovered" this New York Knife. Now that's my kind of pocket jewelry. Gorgeous old bone! Even the short blade looks good ....

I just like having this one around. Nice rosewood handle.
Lone Wolf T1.
They were bought by Benchmade a while back, so their knives are gradually becoming collectors pieces.
Lone Wolf was started by people who worked for Gerber I think?

Except for the “patina,” that knife looks perfect, Ike. But then, the “patina” is part of its charm!
Yearnslow, neat knife there!

Re: Comfort Knives!
You certainly are in the spirit of this thread, Ike, both in your pictures and what you say. Because I never use my knives, I always have one or more nearby me to simply view or fondle since that brings me comfort. I LOVE rediscovering as you say certain models I'd forgotten I have, it brings back the memories of what it took to acquire it. Your post today has a particularly "warm" feeling, thank you.Waukonda wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 1:14 am Going thru a few that I hadn't looked at in a while, and "rediscovered" this New York Knife.
