I dropped off a package of parts knives this morning at the Post Office, on the way to church.
I got to church and an older fellow gave me 3 knives in need of repair! He doesn't want them back, he just wanted to give them to me.
I guess you cannot be too generous!
This haul includes an Uncle Henry 897UH, an almost-identical Craftsman 950-something, and a Pakistani lockback.
All have seen better days, but the Schrade and Craftsman should see better days ahead, soon!

Our tastes in knives are so similar, Tony, it's uncanny. I too have a few of what you showed in this group, but I'm particularly interested in the knife at the back, or, it's the larger of the 2 with white covers, the Junglee. I bought my black copy from Jacob/eprague 2 yrs. ago, and to this day am amazed at how well made it is, and I paid next to nothing for it. Whatever those plastic-like covers are made of, they sure make the knife a pleasure to handle. I have never seen that brand listed anywhere else either, so as a result I know little about them.
Those are great finds for today you made, buddy, your choices are excellent.

Thanks Mark! I found the Junglee at the local flea market yesterday. Good price too ... came with the box and paperwork also. The Parker Longhorn came from the same seller ... made me a package deal. I read last night that the covers are micarta. If they are, then highly polished. Mine has a small chip at the pivot. Other than that, the knife is mint, but the small chip doesn't bother me.

True Story Mark: When I opened the knife, I immediately saw in my mind, one of your posted pictures of you holding a similar knife, meaning shape and blade type. Don't know which picture, but I knew this knife was coming home with me! Knife minds thinking alike huh!

Nice score G-dogg I am fond of the Schrade Walden 895, that looks like a great EDC once cleaned up. ... Like you I Haven't done a stroll thru a flea market in over a year... two closed down over Covid (a variation of the flu... ) and the 3rd turned into a Chi-Com junk product $0.99 outdoor store.... So, I miss it, those good 'Ol the flea-market weekends ...

Wow! Great score CxIII ... ...let's talk about the Cold Steel Japan Counter Tac... That is about as good as it gets for a small quick fighting blade ... ... I think that the older Japan made C.S. knives have come back in demand with buyers (ebay, etsy, etc...) so they represent an excellent value. Also, they are just cool as Heck! ... Finally that Seki-City quality just can't be beat

I find it incredible you only found your Junglee yesterday, Tony, mine was on my watchlist for months before I finally pulled the trigger bout' 2 years back and I finally bought it. Jacob had about 8 copies listed, some in perfect shape like mine, some with cosmetic dings, and some with minor mechanical problems. They were priced accordingly and sold accordingly after sitting for some time.
I came so close to buying a white copy after all the blacks had sold out, but I really didn't want white and it had a chip at the pivot as well, so I was biding my time going back and forth over it, when lo and behold Jacob listed 3 more copies, 1 black and 2 more white! Naturally, I examined the black one thoroughly, and finding it in perfect condition took this as a sign and scooped it up immediately.
I have no problem believing your de'ja' vu story, buddy, I've had similar experiences, it's the thoughtful part of our great minds thinking alike.

It's cell, but looks to be pretty solid. I don't usually go after cell knives, but the price was right, and seeing a Utica in the wild around here is uncommon.

I found these two after work today in a little shop near Birmingham. Please pardon the poor pics, this is on the console of my truck.
I got a good deal on the pair, and both are knives that I have been wanting:

An Old Crafty by Schrade. I have a few Shrade-made Craftsman knives, but this is my first with the "Old Crafty" shield. She is sadly in need of a good cleaning.


And a 1981 Case 6143 Grandaddy Barlow!

She also needs to be cleaned, but much more mildly. The delrin handles each have a pin crack at the tiny center pin.
