These are older pictures but I’m carrying my Cold Steel Hold Out 3 today.
It might look like a weapon but it’s a fantastic knife for EDC chores. Great blade shape in S35VN steel, grippy G10 handles, thin and flat in the pocket, and the cut out for the thumb stud also serves as finger guard.

Bunch of great EDC's from everyone. I miss a day and really get behind.
Figured I'd start Fall early with this one today.

Hey TF. The etch on the blade is gone, but it's a 4" Stockman. I'm pretty sure it's a #9.Hope you're well.treefarmer wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 6:01 pmWhat pattern is your Queen?toomanyknives wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 4:33 pm Bunch of great EDC's from everyone. I miss a day and really get behind.

Rick T. It is easy to see why your CS can be a very practical EDC.
I just got some internet service and may have only a few minutes before it goes off. Just want to say that you all are showing very fine choices for your EDCs

When I had my car detailed recently, this Colonial Barlow was discovered somewhere deep within the interior. It had been missing for maybe two years.
The blade was heavily rusted and spotted. After cleaning it up as best I could I forced a patina on both blades. To my eyes it looks much better now and I am happy to carry it. The blades now carry an impressive edge.

These are great knives, Rick, I've had the big 13" Hold-Out for awhile now, is yours that model or is it one of the shorter models from the series? I'm going to assume it's one of the shorter judging from your description, cuz my knife would not make a suitable EDC it's far too big, mind you, if it was carried in a side sheath it would make for a great saw or axe for small bush, but for small cutting duties and such, no.Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 2:41 pm These are older pictures but I’m carrying my Cold Steel Hold Out 3 today.

Yours looks much more suited for things like that, as well as it riding well in your pocket.
I have a bunch of Cold Steel knives, I've been attracted to them ever since seeing their "Spike" dagger way back when, which BTW are hard to find these days, but if you do the prices are way to high.
Enjoy your knife, buddy!
P.S.- I really dig your lanyard bead too!

Mine is the model with the 3 inch blade. Pocket clip removed, of course.Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 8:31 pm These are great knives, Rick, I've had the big 13" Hold-Out for awhile now, is yours that model or is it one of the shorter models from the series? That little Joker guy is actually a valve stem cover. I had one on each tire when I used to own a motorcycle. Took a few things off of the bike before I sold it and those were among them. Before I retired, there was a hole in the wall behind my desk that was just the right size to push that little Joker into. I found my boss staring at it one day so I watched him. He finally said, “what the heck is that”? I told him I put it there hoping to get that exact reaction from someone.

That's a fine looking knife, Kerry, the pumpkin not so much! What did you do, search the entire patch for the most deformed beat-up one you could find? lol!toomanyknives wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 4:33 pm Bunch of great EDC's from everyone. I miss a day and really get behind.

One good looking Barlow, Garry, what a treat that it was rediscovered after all that time, makes me want to go check under the seats of the car then over to the sofa to check there too.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 8:08 pm When I had my car detailed recently, this Colonial Barlow was discovered somewhere deep within the interior. Great looking HOK, John, another stroke of luck finding that one, just like a needle in a hay stack/mound.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 9:02 pm Just one of my dad's OTs today. This one was lost in the haymound for about a year.
