I feel like I made out like a bandit at Tractor Supply today. Some really good clearance.


Cold Steel Air Lite Tanto--was $85, paid $22. 4.5" closed, 3.5" AUS-10 blade, G-10 handles. Definitely feels like the $100 MSRP.

Little bit smaller, slimmer, and a LOT lighter than my Taiwanese Voyager L . The G-10 is much more comfortable than the aggressive nylon plastic of both my Japan and Taiwan Voyagers. Still has the same strong Tri-Ad lock and robust blade.

CRKT SPIT--was $40 (or $45), paid $18. Been wanting this one for years, as it was the closest I would come to a pocketable sheepsfoot on a small budget.

Just under 5.5" OAL with a 2.3" blade. As it weighs under 2 oz.--you don't notice it in your pocket. CRKT's paracord neck lanyards don't have a breakaway and the belt loop sits weird, so I tend to always pocket carry this one and its cousin the Minimalist.

I wasn't a fan of the Minimalist's tiny handle, but the SPIT has a full-length handle that feels great.

I bought a handful of parts knives at a Pawn Shop today:

The Winchester at the top says that it is a USA, but I have my doubts. Below that is a Camillus 75, Case 059 L, and Schrade SP3.

The guy quoted me one cheap price for the whole pile of knives, including an empty Crown Royal bag to carry them in, so I wound up with 5 Asian-made knives also:

I also bought an "American Cutlery Hand Made" knife, that does not appear to be American, though there is no definite Country of Origin marks anywhere on the knife.

Well tell that monkey to back off because it's a full trapper I guess as it comes in at a little less than 4 inches, just seems smaller to me.

Picked this one up today, Case 70's Hammerhead. Five inches closed. Bolsters are dirty and scuffed but not dinged. Blade looks to be unsharpened and nearly unused.

Wow! Nice find. I worked with a guy we called baldilocks who carried on of those on his belt every day..that was in the 99's I think
