Glad you are enjoying the phone photos, I sure enjoy watching the birds. Some of these are not the best by far, but taking them through a dirty window into the morning sun is tough. I finally slipped out on the back porch to get a couple.

BH, If you made videos you could have your own bird channel. My suggested title: Feathers In Tennesee.

As I made the the turn at the back of the shed after feeding wampus these were looking for corn. Babies are getting almost as big as momma.

It appears you have not lost any of the young to predation.

Garry it's hard to say, the momma hen that had 8 chicks came several times earlier but I haven't seen her lately although one by came recently that had either 5 or 6 I couldn't get a for sure count because they were so rambunctious. We had a better crop this year than I've seen in several years. ::handshake::

Here’s one for chickenman62…
This plump little jungle fowl appeared on my back patio today probably hunting the recent bumper crop of gecko hatchlings.
IMG_3452.jpeg
As soon as she saw me looking at her through the slider window she raced right over as if expecting me to toss out some breadcrumbs. Either that or she realized I was photographing her and wanted to make sure I got her good side for a close-up!
IMG_3473.jpeg
She stood there giving me the ol’ chicken eye for quite awhile; it was kinda creepy.

It wasn’t until I lost interest in her and turned around to get back to work that I realized it wasn’t me she was eyeing, it was this little “snack” sitting on my laptop!

I actually had Junglefowl. I used them in developing my line of American Game bantams. I think I would enjoy all the birds you have in Hawaii.

Haha! That joins a long list of great responses from you! I had never thought of things that way.
Those are actually 2 diff birds, think the 1st pic is one of an immature, I encountered the 2nd one just a couple hundred yards away.

Here's some herons for you. Taken on the bridge over the stream close to my house. Are they both herons? ::shrug::
