....and a good thought at that Tim, thank you.
We are somewhat bound by the limitations of the AAPK Store software and how ordering works globally without having Bryan write custom code solely for the annual club knife sale. The mass email to premium subscribers and then a forum post to all members seems to have allocated a knife to almost 98% of those that wanted one. We started a waiting list on 9/7 and so far, only 5 members would like a knife that didn't get one in the pre-order sale.
Limiting sales is a good idea and to a large degree we did just that this year, but as has been previously pointed out, there's always room for improvement.
I personally believe this was handled very well this year.

Thanks guys - we can all agree that the goal is to be as fair and inclusive as possible and this years process will be reviewed against that standard. Your interest and feedback is greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Any new info on the knife itself?
the update last week is that we are making our way to the production line with an estimated arrival on doorsteps before Thanksgiving. Is there any other information you were looking for?

that will be disclosed when the knife is in-production and not subject to change but what materials would you think would compliment a Ram Foot, a 93 Pattern with a sheep foot blade? Natural? Synthetic? Bone? Wood? Stag? Mammoth?

If anyone backs out I would like a crack at one. I missed the memo
If you did not participate in the pre-order program and wish to be added to the waiting list for a 2023 AAPK club knife, please send your AAPK forum name if you have one (i.e., bestgear), your name (first and last) and your email address to aapk2024@outlook.com. I will use the date and timestamp on your email to establish your place on the waiting list. To ensure that emails from aapk2024@outlook.com will not go to your spam, junk, or trash folders, I will reply to each of your requests with your position on the waiting list within 24 hours of receiving your request.
Thanks

<<WAITING LIST UPDATE>> We now have 7 on our waiting list in case anyone was wondering. I have been in email communication with each of them and hopefully their desires to get a club knife can be accommodated once all pre-orders have been fulfilled.

wouldn’t rams hoof be closer to rams foot than rams horn Ken & John now that would be a unique handle material
Yes, indeed. But I don’t recall ever seeing any knife covers made from any animal hoof, including ram. There must be some reason knifemakers don’t use it. I’ve seen just about every thing else used so it seems if it was in fact useable some maker would have done so. Maybe someone here knows.
