I received my Schrade from Glenn yesterday. It sure is a beautiful knife from a great craftsman. Thanks Glenn. This was very generous of you.

Re: 2024 AAPK this and that GAW
I received my knife from Glenn today and all I can say is "HOLY COW". I recalled when this giveaway was done and that I had won something that Glenn made that it was going to be special. He contacted me by PM and after answering a series of questions on what my preferences were, I was thinking to myself "I cant believe it but I just ordered a custom knife". After answering the questions, my specs were a TL29 Jack, blades spear and sheepsfoot, stag handle material, rat tail bolsters, large Federal shield, delete the center liner lock, no EZ open notch, and hammered pins. I always drooled over the photos of Glenns custom TL29s, now I can drool on my own. WOW!!!

I love it all, but the hammered pins juxtaposed with rat tail bolsters is fantastic, and the stag on the pile side is particularlyOLDE CUTLER wrote: βSat Nov 02, 2024 7:05 pm I received my knife from Glenn today and all I can say is "HOLY COW". When you say "hammered pins", does that mean the pins were hand peened with a hammer, as opposed to being installed by a factory machine, or something else completely? Thanks!

Yes, the hammer marks are visible on the ends of the pins. My favorite finish as opposed to spun pins.

They grip and blend in with stag better when they're hammered too. Glen does such nice work on them.OLDE CUTLER wrote: βMon Nov 04, 2024 11:46 pm Yes, the hammer marks are visible on the ends of the pins. My favorite finish as opposed to spun pins.
