I thought maybe it was for opening these cheese sticks. I spent 45 seconds on the wrong end on this one, then I went and found my reading glasses.

Victorinox just calls it a multi purpose hook.

Thanks for the comments. This thang has a micro screwdriver for my spectacles stuck up inside the mini corkscrew. That could be handy some day.

I was always under the impression it was for adjusting the laces of hiking boots and shoes… used to use mine to tighten the lacing on my Reidel Hockey skates.

Definitely just let your imagination run wild. It's very versatile. But this does appear to be sewing related to me.
