CG Co Italy stilletto or fake?

Post by Markak »

The markings give me pause but perhaps it was a mistake? CG or GC? Legit or copy? Seems solid and well made. Almost like new. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

The knife sure does look nice and from your pics, certainly looks like a legit Italian made manual stiletto. That stamp is anther matter. It should be G.C. Co The font and placement doesn't look right either, giving it a home made style. Attached is a photo of a Gutmann Cutlery manual knife I have. Don't know why someone would do that. No matter what, that is a nice knife.

Since my first post, I found one just like it on a popular online auction site. Found my at a thrift store for $5. I couldn’t pass it up. Thanks for your response!

At $5 you got a nice knife at quite a bargain! Seems you have a good thrift store.
