Yesir Kerry, it really has. Cant find anything when I google Vintage Imperial Congress. I cant believe they packed 4 blades in such a slim knife. It punches all my buttons. When I was a young one, Imperial knives was all the rage. You were redneck royalty if you owned a Case! I dont even remember anyone having a Case pocket knife. Just Imperials and Colonials. I would love to see another Vintage Imperial Congress. I never owned a Congress pocket knife until this one. I sure have grown fond of the Congress pattern. Funny how that happens. Thank you for the nice comment. Always appreciate you! :) ::handshake::

Yes sir, I will! Sure cant find anything on Vintage Imperial Congress when I google it. See the new chinese ones but not Vintage. I seen one from Roger that was bone on AAPK Imperial thread. But that's the only other one. There has to be more out there. ::handshake:: :)

I can’t remember ever seeing a Congress pattern. But I’m no Imperial expert. OP has one, so we know they made at least one.

This “cheapy” rides with me today.
Original Taiwan made “Lightning.”
NOT the newer “mainland China, ‘Elite’ branded” version.
IMG_0693.jpeg
4 months of use:
-Sharp out of the box. A few swipes on the strop to shave hairs.
-Fit and finish? Outstanding. Everything tight as a drum, and lined up perfect. Even the pocket clip screws are still factory tight!
-Virtually ZERO “side to side” wobble. Seriously! Tight as could be. Only the one or two mm of “play” needed for smooth function and a LOT LESS wobble than a couple of the $200+ Models, I checked out.
-Not one failure to deploy in four months of almost daily use.
-A stout and strong tanto blade, of some version of 440, that holds its edge remarkably well. Has only needed a few swipes on the steel or strop to stay poppin sharp.
-About $30 incuding shipping.
Could be the Best Buy in OTFs going on right now. I know it changed my mind about OTFs.

Very cool EDC, and they're functional. Check out this thread-

Thanks for the link to that thread. The Titan knife used for that mod has the 2spring internals, mirroring the “Lightning Elite” design. The original Taiwan made “Lightning” has one bigger spring, and is more durable over time. I think it kicks harder too.
Got to say. This one I have is a sure keeper. I even ordered one with a clip point blade, to see if they are consistent across blade styles.

The OTF knives are interesting.
I have one that just folds out the side. It's an older model.
It's a Pal so it stayed with me all day. 3 3/8" closed.
