Totin' a Limited Edition today, I was really happy to find this one.

Sweet knife, John, I thought I liked the "Casbah" you posted recently, but this translucent model beats that one all to heck!
You continue to post tasteful cutlery everyday, but every now and then you post one like this and blow the roof right off, well done, buddy!

Yesterday was “New Knife Day!”
So the new acquisition will ride in my front pocket—probably for the rest of the week—this little thing is a beaut! Fit and finish, 9/10. Wants to jump out of your hand when it fires. And that piece of horn is swirled so nice.IMG_0701.jpegIMG_0698.jpeg

I was just about to say the same thing, Floyd, he posted it in a whole bunch of threads yesterday, and he's chompin' on the bit to carry-on from where he left off, today! I can usually get a strong sense of how much someone likes their new knife from the words they use in their posts, and Luke sure used the right words to get my attention for this knife. And I don't blame him a bit, I know that feeling well when you get a knife that really get your juices flowing, and you can't get enough of it, nor talk enough about it. It's merely a symptom of this addiction we all take part in willingly each and every day!

Congratulations, Luke, I know you're enjoying your new knife so I won't say it!

Luke, I remember those days ... fun, but glad they are behind. "The Book" in leather bound and a nice knife like that , make for a better life.

Someone from my generation… Who remembers it.
Recent life circumstances have led me to the occasional old memory, not dwelling—just reminiscing.
And you are right, that “Book,” has done me a lot of good, and adding the Psalter, daily if I can, has also been a valuable spiritual weapon.
Life is much better with good blades, and daily prayer.

Luke ... "Reminiscing" reminded me of the Little River Band song titled such. Didn't listen to a lot of soft rock back then, but some songs stood out, and I liked 'em. Anyway, back to EDCs ... got this used but not abused 500 at the flea market last weekend. Gonna be in pocket for quite a while. Great carrying cutlery all!

Great Buck, Tony, I really like the 500 series because some have a drop-point blade instead of the usual clip-point. The copy you posted has those sweet dark red covers I'm finding most impressive too.

I just love reading comments from guys who absolutely love their knives, and your knife and post, Luke, reflect that totally! For awhile I thought I was the only one who goes ga-ga over a knife, I'm sure glad that I was wrong, cuz I don't think I can stop, it feels too good! It seems you know what I'm talking about, huh, Luke?

Yes! The word I sometimes use is “delight.”
I believe the love of knives is partly primal. It was one of the first tools created by man. A simple, yet powerful tool that played, and still plays, a large part in the history of mankind.
From simple, essential survival tasks, to industry, art, warfare, agriculture… the bladed tool has helped shape mankind, and the world we live in. For example, consider the “sword.” The use of the sword in warfare has literally created the nations and cultures of the world.
So much influence… So important, that Christ our Lord at one point tells his disciples to “ sell your cloak, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36)
So knives are a part of our lives.
Well, mine anyway. lol.
Now if only I could get my shop put together, so I can expand my skills in fixing and making them…

Indeed he is. My first Lever Lock. Ever. And I’m hard pushing 60 years on this rock.
Spring autos were verboten in my Commonwealth until ‘23. So we couldn’t have one.
Now, they’re legal, and my current circumstances require me to go one handed. And it turns out, the switchblade jones is just as powerful my other blade obsessions. Go figure, right?
And because of the frightful economy, and not being able to work, I had to “save up” for this one, (as if I were 15 again, stashing half my caddying tips, to grab a Buck 110 before the rut!)
So I saved a bit at a time, watching the item daily on the site, hoping no one grabbed them all before I could pony up.
(All the stag scaled models got snapped up while I saved Fortunately, I snagged the dark horn before they went OOS.)
And now, it’s snug as a bug in the watch-pocket of my Wranglers, and I’ve had three occasions to use it already, not to mention that I take it out, and snap it a time or two once in a while—just for kicks.
I LOVE “New Knife Day.”

"Kicks" around here is commonly referred to as "Click-Therapy", Luke, and I for one love to indulge in it on a regular basis! Just a new term for you bud!

I found the marble years ago and keep it on my desk. I've always loved tootsie pops and knives! Haha. I'm still relatively young. 64.
