Hogue Microswitch today.
It started out with a California-legal blade but I did a blade swap.
Now they all have different blades.

Very cool, Luke, I've wanted a copy of your knife for as long as I can recall, but my shippingGood Old Luke wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:34 pm Today’s “Church Knife”. It’s also new. Was waiting for me in the mailbox, when I returned from my holiday travels. I went for Cocobolo scales on this one. Straying from my usual horn, or stag…
F&F is good, though not at the same level as the AGA Campolin version.
But one thing to note—it came RAZOR sharp, out of the box. I was surprised at how sharp. I didn’t even need to strop it, to get it to swipe through a page of the morning paper.

It’s final… I’m officially “hooked” on these traditional autos…
options...blah, blah, blah. Is it 7" or 9"? How do you like yours? Does it operate well? It sure looks good!

This shipping issue, what a “B!,” gotta be a way we can get one to you… These piss-poor “laws” are about the stupidest thing possible. They infringe on your rights, and do nothing but turn good citizens, into “smugglers.” Here’s to hoping you can see a positive change in legislation up there. Any “knife rights” groups up there working on this?Madmarco wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 3:53 amVery cool, Luke, I've wanted a copy of your knife for as long as I can recall, but my shippingGood Old Luke wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:34 pm Today’s “Church Knife”. Far as function goes, it works well. Had a scare on the first “fire.” lol! Took it out of the package, tripped the lever, and the blade stuck, half way open!?!?
So what was the issue?
Well it was sitting in my mailbox overnight, and temps here were in the high teens, low 20s…
So I let it warm up to room temp, put a drop of Superslick on each side of the tang, and the thing popped off flawlessly, and has been good ever since!
It’s in pocket now, except when I take it out for a little “click therapy!”
Site I was on has another one, with ebony slabs. Thinking I might want to add that, but I’m holding back. Don’t want to go too, too crazy.
Gotta run now, my brother. Peace, and God Bless.

Thanks for your response, Luke, that freezing on first firing would have scared the sh*t outta me, glad it warmed up and is working well for you. My favorite color for knife covers is black, so of course it was the black model I wanted, but to see that knife in pictures other than from the seller makes even the Rosewood look excellent, like in your pictures.Good Old Luke wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 2:17 pmThis shipping issue, what a “B!,” gotta be a way we can get one to you… These piss-poor “laws” are about the stupidest thing possible. I swear by a product called "Quick Release Oil" as a very effective knife oil, what's the story on this "Superslick" lube?
And please, don't get me started about shipping and Canadian knife laws! Suffice to say, I have solved the problem pretty much for now, (think "smuggling") but I want to be limited using it so as to not overuse it, so I need to be very picky about what I buy, but I appreciate you thinking about ways of helping me. Changes in our knife laws is likely not going to happen, and the only help we're getting is through the US group that helps you guys, AKTI. There are none, and probably never have been, "Knife Rights Groups" up here, they are the proverbial Canadian Unicorn!
Enjoy your new leverlock, I like it!
