Finding or making replacement scissor springs

Post by ThatWeirdKnifeGuy »

I have these 2 Precise Deerslayers. One with no spring, one that's rusty and bent. Replacements seem unlikely
so Im looking to fashion or replace with any thing that will function. I haven't found any variety or assortment type packs that include this type of spring. Any ideas or things you guys have used to make your own?

Here’s a 6-pack of Victorinox scissor springs for $1.85: https://www.victorinox.com/en-US/Produ ... lsrc=aw.ds. Maybe they could be adapted to work ::shrug::

Hey not sure how I missed your reply back when you made it.

I would have never guessed that they'd offer them so cheap. After reading your suggestion I tried with a spring from a cheap Chinese one. It worked after some modification and some epoxy.

That spring has now also broken ::facepalm::

But it did work, presumably the official ones will hold up better. Thanks for the suggestion ::tu::
