I have these 2 Precise Deerslayers. One with no spring, one that's rusty and bent. Replacements seem unlikely
so Im looking to fashion or replace with any thing that will function. I haven't found any variety or assortment type packs that include this type of spring. Any ideas or things you guys have used to make your own?

Finding or making replacement scissor springs

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

Here’s a 6-pack of Victorinox scissor springs for $1.85: https://www.victorinox.com/en-US/Produ ... lsrc=aw.ds. Maybe they could be adapted to work

Hey not sure how I missed your reply back when you made it.bestgear wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 2:27 pm Here’s a 6-pack of Victorinox scissor springs for $1.85: https://www.victorinox.com/en-US/Produ ... lsrc=aw.ds. Maybe they could be adapted to work![]()
I would have never guessed that they'd offer them so cheap. After reading your suggestion I tried with a spring from a cheap Chinese one. It worked after some modification and some epoxy.
That spring has now also broken

But it did work, presumably the official ones will hold up better. Thanks for the suggestion
