My daughter’s neighbor gave this to her and she asked me what it is. I think it’s a military foot locker of sorts but I am not versed in much outside of edged weapons. Anybody know for sure. It’s about 12 in tall and about 30 in. Long. ( per daughter)

Based on my experience in the 70 and 80 s during my stretch with the US Army it’s not Army issued . Ours ,even at a NCO level , were all wooden .
Looks like a nice travelers trunk more than military. Cool art work on the top !

I’m pretty sure it’s WWII.this is a field desk I have. Metal with wood inside.
