440C

I've got a bar of 440C I bought nearly 20 years ago. It is 1.5"W x 3/16" ( I think ) and 57" long. Had planned on making a few blades with it and never got around to it. Doubt I ever will.

At full retail from two different sources that bar is around $55.

I'm looking for older "using" grade name brand Solingen trapper or stockman pocket knives in excess of 3.5" closed. I prefer something that has already had the new worn off it as I fully intend to carry it.

I don't necessarily want retail for the bar, I just would like to have a good using pocket knife.

I've also got some pieces of exotic woods stashed for handle material. I just have to UN-stash ( find ) and I'lll toss that stuff out for someone that might be interested.
