Chickenman, you have two fine looking animals. Zeb looks somewhat regal to me. Sort of a "to the manor born" aristocrat.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Love it chickenman. My dogs love the snow. My cats never seemed to care much for it. Good idea to take pics of them in the snow. We have more snow now than we have had for many years and more coming tomorrow. Should be a good picture opportunities.chickenman62 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 8:12 pm Everyone has forgotten their pets lately. I'll give you Richard the cat and Zeb the dog in the snow.

We can be so patient for mom to get our California King made.
So appreciative when it is a sleep Numbers bed it helps us stinky dogs sleep so well at night.
Piper the female even says thank you before she lays down. Red piles into his spot and everything is good.

I’m sure this will make some of you cringe and some of you laugh.

The only thing that made me cringe was that Blackhawks blanket. Really nice pics!

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Nah, No Blackhawks fans around me, I am in Blues territory. It is a great rivalry. I have sat through a lot of Blues/Blackhawks games and been doused in beer by Hawks fans on more than one occasion, but most get along at the end of the day.
Sorry, better get this thread back to dogs and cats.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Good morning Ike.
Hey now. LOL I was not fast enough to make at least a small comment. Figured you are a Blues fan. Don’t worry it will be another 20 or 30 years before the Blackhawks win again. It’s already been 10 I think.
I didn’t say anything last night. But if you look at the picture the male dog red is at the end of the bed. That is his spot and it drives my better half miss Lori a bit nutty that is her side of the bed. I always remind Miss Lori she had to have not only one dog but two. Just like the kids.
You know why he sleeps there? Because he knows I am the alpha Dog LOL. That’s what I like to say anyway.
It makes it hard for her too get comfortable. The female Piper starts in bed then goes in her crate. Then she will come back at 3 or 4 and gets in my face start pawing/manipulating me to pet her then she will find a spot against me or between us until I get up for work and she just takes over my side of the bed.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
The pets become family members,
Does not matter if you are a cat person dog person. They are family. The biggest problem is most of them don’t live as long as us.
Red is going to be 9 this year and we are starting to see some changes. He’s not that old. We keep trying to take care of them as best we can and we pray for them like we do everyone in our lives.
Only thing I can say negative about Red is he hates to ride in the car. Piper will go just about have to drag him in.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Ike, great pictures of your pup! I too need to post pictures of our old girl, Flossie. I had to put her down last summer. She was with us 14 years. She was Miss Joy's dog but she loved being in the woods and most always accompanied me to retrieve a deer. She found several for me that were down in some rough spots. She was a Chocolate Lab red merle Australian Shepherd cross, sometimes called a Aussidor, what a character!

Minus 10 and a dusting of snow here in Sioux Falls this morning. The little carnivores are staying in today and getting some sun.

They look content in the sun. We had a Siamese named Boo Boo and during the summer he would take care of any flies in the house. It was kind of fun to watch him hunt them down and eat them. He has been gone since 2019. He made it close enough to 20 years that we only rounded his age up by less than a month. Definitely had to go back in the archives to find this one. I think my hair was more and less silver I don’t care what color the DMV says it is.
Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
I lost my sidekick, Shadow, last summer but she remains with me in spirit. I still look for her when I get up in the mornings so I don’t trip over her. Lab crossed with Norwegian Elkhound, super protective. She was 15 and had a massive stroke.

What a beautiful dog Boji. Makes me miss my long departed dogs. I think about them almost every day. Shadow looks like she would have been a great companion.Boji wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 12:27 am I lost my sidekick, Shadow, last summer but she remains with me in spirit. She was my constant companion, went to work with me every day, loved pickup trucks and snow. Had 2 distinct personalities, lovable Lab and always on guard Norwegian Elkhound. She even has a record with the local police department. I could write a book about her antics.Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:43 amWhat a beautiful dog Boji. Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
More cute pets!
We had a black Lab at the farm named Goliath, he was a stray and found by a family friend who couldn't keep a big dog. When he arrived, his head was huge and eventually his body followed suit. He probably went a good 150 lbs, lived about 10 years, had a scary "woof" but was a very sweet dog. I also used to dog sit locally for a black Lab named Shadow, he loved to chase squirrels but couldn't figure out how to climb trees. His owner gave me a picture of him that I still have.

Homer, I remember seeing pictures you posted of the three legged dog back a few years ago. Looks like you have had quite a pack of dogs and cats. I still miss the dogs that have gone on. I hope they will be waiting for me to arrive some day.
