I had a feeling the sheath was made from some kind of skin and sealed with leather or something else. It's little wonder it looks so solid and well made considering those materials, and most important, waterproof. Great knife and sheath combo!Duels3144 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 1:23 amThank you for the comment, it's aviary comfortable handling knife and the sheath I believe is intestine wrapped leather, very comfortable to carry.

That's a beauty, Kerry, enjoy your knife!NCC1701 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 3:27 pm Nothing fancy today. It took me several months to find one, but the white Case small stockman really does something for me. I saw them in a catalog and figured I would get me one the next time I went to SMKW. I was wrong, they were sold out with no idea of when they would get more. I accidently happened upon this one at a flea market in Nashville TN.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Good evening all,
Not sure I should be carrying this one. Even though I am not a knife collector this is the style I like. I think I have heard you term it as a HOK. As you can see it is missing part of the small blade has a pin crack on one side and a crack the whole length on the other side.
What I would like to do is get it tightened up I would like to go on carrying it but don’t want it too fall apart. If anyone has suggestions im listening. Please enjoy another knife out of dad’s (LK’S) collection or accumulation.

That’s an awesome knife! I would be scared to carry it, hopefully someone will have a suggestion, but it may be better as a safe queen.

I must say that the "barlow" may be my least favorite design. But with that said, I love that one. But some of that is the blade, I really like a straight edge blade.

That knife is as rare as hen's teeth. I would buy/make a display case and keep it safe at home.LKSKNIVES wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 1:17 am Good evening all,

Starting the workweek with an -048 Slim-line trapper. Interesting how one scale is strawberry colored and the other is brown.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I swear that I do my pocket knives like some women do their shoes..... I look at my shelf in the morning and decide based on what I expect my day to look like, what knife I need or want for the day. Having said that, today I have a Henkel that is a rescue. I found this at an antique mall in Franklin Kentucky. The blades were badly tarnished and as you can see, the badge on the outside has paint that has chipped off. The knife itself was incredibly dull. I was able to remove a lot of the tarnish and staining and make this congress a nice EDC. The overall closed length of this knife is 3 11/16 and it is quite sharp now. I actually grazed my thumb while opening it to take the pics seen here. I carry this one more than any of the others. Maybe because I feel like a rescued something that was seen as not desirable and gave it a purpose. Anyway, comments and observations welcome.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thank you C-Wade, Harold, Rerider and all of you for the appreciation one of dad’s many knife finds. I don’t know where or when he found it. I only know it has been in my possession for about 17yrs. I’m am not a collector only the curator/salesmen of dad’s collection/accumulation. I have three other siblings who are not interested in the stuff. Even if I want to keep it, I need to get a value on it to make good to them. That being said I like that style of knife, I don’t have too have that particular one too carry. Like with the rare stuff I would rather have someone have it who appreciates it. If I keep it too carry now and then I don’t want it to fall apart. Feel free to make any more comments PM me anything is fine.LKSKNIVES wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 1:17 am Good evening all,
