Newbie from Montana
Howdy!
I was very excited to find this site. I LOVE knives! I've carried a knife since I was a little kid and think they are an indispensable tool. My wife thinks its funny that I will use a knife in lieu of scissors for many tasks. I have built custom fixed blade knives for 10 yrs. and have recently gotten into buying, collecting and selling traditional slipjoint knives. I have found the information on this site invaluable for researching various knife brands. Still have a lot to learn!
I'm retired now, but spent 10 years in law enforcement and another 7 years as a probation officer.

Wolfort, before we get started, how about y'all coming down to the Florida Panhandle and lassoing your snow and draggin' it back where it belongs!
Glad you found this site!

Welcome! I've been here since last October and have found the membership to be friendly, generous, and knowledgeable.

Big welcome from Texas, you won't find a better group of people at AAPK on any other forum.

to AAPK from Northern Virginia! Lots of great knife information on this site, and then some. BTW- we love pictures.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

This is one of the last knives I made before winter hit. I don't have an insulated shop!
