Dog I'll have to look around and see if I can find that, I don't recall ever seeing any. We used to have a store called World Market that had a lot of interesting beers that other stores didn't carry, but it closed shop.

You should be able to find it at 7-11, bighomer. Personally, I prefer High Life 40s, the Champagne of Beers. Icehouse 40s are good too.

B.H. I went to this website and found some locations for Trader Joe's. They have a pretty awesome selection of really good beers and most of the prices are fairly reasonable at $1- $1.5 a can (some beers can be $6-$8 a can ). It's worth a look if you are near one and have not checked it out before.

We used to go to Trader Joe's in Nashville and another store called Whole Foods when I had a VA appointment, but man it's a hassle since the city has grown so much.
I've got a new 7/11 just down the way I might check there, but I'd prefer a smaller amount, those quart and 40's are in my long ago past.

40's are OK on the weekend, but I'll stick to 12 oz cans/bottles (4 of them ) on school nights....bighomer wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 2:19 pm We used to go to Trader Joe's in Nashville and another store called Whole Foods when I had a VA appointment, but man it's a hassle since the city has grown so much.

I had a girlfriend that shopped at Whole Foods where I lived. I ended up calling it "Whole Paycheck" ... She wanted some organic Italian almonds one time, so, I stopped in (way before Bidenflation) and it was $17.95 a lb. ...
Nice combo a Corona (Crown) with a Queen fits perfectly

Well John, the state of Michigan does have quite a history when it comes to breakfast. Both Kellogs and Post began in Battle Creek, Founders Breakfas Stout comes from Grand Rapids.
Have you ever had Deschutes Obsidian Stout? Maybe Samuel Smith's classic Oatmeal Stout?

Re: It's Beer Thirty
I drink Samuel Smith's classic Oatmeal Stout, but not lately, as I have not seen it anymore at the store that I go to, they always carried a 4-pack at Christmas time of 4 different beers and a Samuel Smith's beer glass.Waukonda wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 12:09 amWell John, the state of Michigan does have quite a history when it comes to breakfast. Re: It's Beer Thirty
I haven't seen that particular Deschutes, maybe just the Saison? Samuel Smith with the champagne wrapped bottles are easy to find here and I have tried it. I went through a phase where I only drank stouts and porters. When I was skiing and staying in Ogden, Wasatch Brewery had a Polygamy Porter and I have a t-shirt around here someplace. Good stuff.Waukonda wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 12:09 amWell John, the state of Michigan does have quite a history when it comes to breakfast. I thought I had posted this Aslin Arctic Sauce. A very tasty sour, but I think I like the Volcano Sauce just a little better.

My understanding is that this has took over as the top selling beer in the U.S. Folks iff'in you'd try the Negra Modela you'd throw rocks at this, although it's drinkable. Jmho. Ymmv.
