I think he knows that, Kerry, we're just in the midst of our usual bantering, but if he doesn't actually know that ABBA come from Sweden and that they would NEVER be on the same tour as The Scorpions since the 2 types of music are world's apart, then he'd best take his own advise and "do some more research on that"! ::nod::

Kerry is correct, glenn, the whole thing is just a silly banter between myself and GSPTOPDOG, but hopefully your inquiry will get things back to the knives. ::pray::

T-Dog, the stamp reads "Taylor Seto Surgical Japan", and the other side reads "MCR-18 Hand Made".
The Taiwan made version is model MCR-11.
Love those Western folders! ::tu::

The mystery of "Hand Made" by whom, I do not know. You will also find this on the Parker Custom Series knives, as well as other brands.
CS is hard to beat, as good? ::shrug:: , but these are less expensive.

CxIII, I am hoping that the quality was fairly consistent back in the day for most knives coming out of Seki-City. ... ::hmm:: I think Cold Steel did set a "Gold Standard" with their tanto line back in the day. ... ::suspense:: I guess it's up to you to do some "Forged in Fire" type testing, by chopping up a couple of cinder-blocks, some bricks and then pounding the edges against a rail road spike by hitting the spine with a huge hammer. ::nod::

::hmm:: ...Also, I think that unless you are Marco, ToomanyKnives, or this guy pictured below.... less expensive is always a big bonus for the average AAPK member! ::nod::
