Marco, thanks for your observations about my photos. They have never been great but I actually thought they were getting a bit better.

I certainly hope they are not too blurry. I will see if I can get them any clearer. Here are some samples I thought were okay. But I can see that they are not very sharp. I do think the lens on my old Panasonic is very limited. I think it is past time to upgrade my camera once I am better positioned financially. Again, I do very much appreciate you pointing out my photographic defects.

I'm carrying this old ugly thing today! Dont ask me, just figured I would give it some air play!!

Well, you could put it in it's sheath, Kevin, that would hide it's "ugliness" from you, and I want to know why you would carry a knife like that, unless you "just figured you would give it some air play", which actually is your responsibility seeing as you own it, along with the fact that you wouldn't want it feeling left out, right? So there you have it, you now know why you chose this knife to accompany you today, unless you were expecting steak to fall from the sky?
Kindly disregard me for the rest of the evening, a screw just dropped out of my ear and I need to put it back!
One of our mechanics helped me replace that screw and I'm back to % so I can now say, what a cool knife, Kevin, I'm sure you'll find a use for it today!

Mark, you make me smile!! And I GET you, so I must have a screw loose myself!! Sometimes I just like to post some of my not so pretty or valuable, but will get the job done!! I WISH a steak would accidentally fall from the sky!! Haha. I live on Ramen with my salary!! But thank you for commenting on Mr. Ugly!! I feel better about hauling it around today!!

Whew, I'm glad someone "gets me" Kev, that ridiculous post was pretty much off the rails, even for me! I too live on Ramen and such daily, buddy, and if ole' Donnie gets his way it'll be cut down to every 2nd day! I dig what you named your knife, "Mr. Ugly", it's so fitting, no offence!

No offense taken my friend!! Found out just now that it's a Japanese Valor made in the 70'sI will have to get a loop out tommorow but the ones I have seen on ebay and etsy's said its bone. I thought it was plastic! Ha. Mr. Ugly is just fitting!!

Yep dude. Marco beat me to answering I see. I thought he'd like this one too, I'm glad he's enthusiastic about it.

It is a cool knife. The lock button is unique, and for a bigger knife it pockets well because of the slim profile.

Good evening my fellow knife friends: Can you guess which one has been a regular pocket carrier and which has not? In my pocket today is this old Buck Creek, long and interesting story on how I as a young lad acquired these two pieces, but I’ll not go into that at the moment, don’t want to bore anyone. I got them both at the same time here in Kentucky, I put one up and stuck one in my pocket, I’m thinking nearly 50 yrs ago. WOW time slips away.
The stockman Buck Creek has been with me through the best and worst times, and takes and holds a keen edge.

I will have to get some out and take a few photos, and yes you are correct, Colonial has an interesting history and made good pieces.
